Case Study: Salon Reception Desks

Knotty Ash Woodworking was recently commissioned by ‘The Vanilla Rooms’, a hair salon in Hornchurch, East London to create a unique salon reception desk for their premises. The brief was to replace the current desk which was old and outdated, with something fresh and new that made good use of the available space that was user-friendly and suitable for the work environment.

As with all Knotty Ash Installations, we first designed the salon reception desk using a 3D colour visualisation tool, allowing the client to see a to-scale version of the finished product before we began building. By providing such a realistic composite of the desk, we allow clients the ability to make any desired changes without incurring extra costs and they can see these changes in action and perfect the design so that it is truly representative of their needs.

Once we had settled on the aesthetic aspects of the desk, our team employed their extensive experience to develop the practicalities, including lighting, panelling, branding and monitor shelves so that the desk would be comfortable and user-friendly.
